The W.O.L.O. mission is to produce the feeling and atmosphere that we all remember when we heard the word "PARTY." Our goal is to provide our clients with music and sound that is memorable for years to come. We achieve this by making your event one that takes you back to the days when a party meant you were free to let your hair down, meet people that would become life-long friends and just plain "Have FUN & Be You." We make your event remembered for the feeling of being free and being the place to be.

W.O.L.O. Entertainment, LLC was officially established in 2000. W.O.L.O. is located in Philadelphia, PA and has DJ's who have been in the entertainment business since 1981. We have a professional & highly trained production team to bring you the best in R & B, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Classic Oldies & Funk, Old School & New School music and sound. Our motto after playing & hosting an event is simply..... "You've Just Been WOLO'd."

In 1981 the journey of creating W.O.L.O. began with MC Nate G & dj Master D, both were members of what "true hip-hoppers" called a crew. MC Nate G was the vocal leader & music arranger for the G-Town Boogie Boy Productions (GBP) crew, and dj Master D was of course the deejay. GBP, led by MC Nate G & dj Master D produced shows, events & block parties throughout Philadelphia, PA. However, their main stage was "Rockin" the Germantown/Mt. Airy section of the city. Later, when MC Nate G joined the armed forces and took his MC skills across the globe, dj Master D joined another crew called the Force 5 Crew (featuring MC Kid-T) and became known as dj SPINBAD, who also created the "Transformer Scratch" technique (Notably used by DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Cash Money & many, many more DJ's today).
dj SPINBAD would become one of the top three deejays on the east coast & eventually tour internationally with the Platinum R&B group Bell, Biv, Devoe (BBD) until the late 90's.
By 1983, the journey continued across town in South West Philadelphia where another aspiring young deejay was working and honing his skills...his name is dj GROOVE - The BEATmaster. As a young assistant chef, dj GROOVE began to tinker with turntables and a mixer along w/dj Barry-B. He would practice his craft to become one of the better "Scratch DJ's" in SW Philly. He later joined with Philly's top promoter for the young adult crowd & club owner ...Bobby Dance as he produced shows, parties and events throughout Philadelphia.
In 1991, dj GROOVE (founder of G-Whiz Productions -1988) & his brother Big Rich partnered with Bobby Dance to help open the first "Dances" nightclub. Although he was a limited partner, dj GROOVE brought his hospitality experience and ability to "move the crowd" to the partnership for three years.
In 1994 dj GROOVE met MC Nate G, who was now known as dj NATE-G "The Music Mixologist." From this meeting, the vision to provide sound for anyone, anywhere, at anytime that was crystal clear & alive began to manifest itself. The next six years were the 'infant/toddler' years as the two deejay's increased their production abilities and presentation skills.
By the year 2000 W.O.L.O./G-Whiz Productions was born into the New Millinieum.
In 2003 dj SPINBAD, now the co-founder of a management company, reunited with his first MC while bringing international experience "to the mix" and helping to expand & refine our production capabilities which completes the 25+ years of experience that propels W.O.L.O. to be a leader in the DJ Entertainment industry.
Today W.O.L.O. Entertainment is now and forever challenging ourselves to continue to be innovative by enhancing our existing methods of sound re-enforcement and developing NEW ways to bring you that uncomparable, crystal clear & alive sound that is our trade mark.
